LSF has been released in a number of different versions.

[edit] LSF DOS Version
The start of this legendary series. First released in 1995, it is considered by some to be the classic of all. This version runs on the MS-DOS operating system and can be emulated on DOSBox.
[edit] LSF Win95/98
A re-release of the game for the Windows 95 platforms in 1997. There are few changes, mainly to reduce the difficulty of game play. It has been rumoured that an experienced player can finish the whole game in 4 hours.
[edit] LSF Sega Saturn
The game was adopted to the Sega Saturn Console System and released in both Chinese and Japanese (1999). The SS version features re-drawn character portraits and other graphical improvements but the gameplay remains unchanged.
[edit] New LSF
A complete remake of the game, with minimal changes to the original storyline. The new version has much-superior graphics. Two alternate endings are dedicated to the two female protagonists of the story, Ling'er and Yueru.
The New LSF was initially released in 2001. It was re-released again as the New LSF XP version for the Windows XP platform in 2005.
